About:
Originally from Seward, Nebraska, Scott Wolverton is country to his core. Whether it was helping herd cattle on his family's farm or training for what would become a successful college baseball career, he learned the meaning of hard work from a very young age. His time as an athlete taught him discipline, while his work on the farm taught him to appreciate the simple things in life. When asked, Wolverton cites his influences to be not only some of his favorite artists, but moreover his family, his faith, and particularly the midwest.
Now at 26, and with a folder full of songs inspired by the place he’s from, Wolverton has packed up his truck and headed for none other than Music City, Nashville, TN. Drawing inspiration from not only some of country music’s great legends (Johnny Cash, John Denver, Toby Keith & Sturgill Simpson) but also from classics like Creedance Clearwater Revival, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Jackson Browne, Bob Dylan & Fleetwood Mac; Wolverton has carved out a sound that is uniquely his own. It effortlessly paints a clear vision of the rolling hills and star-lined sky that colored his childhood, while simultaneously conjuring feelings of nostalgia and comfort.
